Carefully selected microorganisms to reduce the presence of ammonia, accelerate the decomposition of bovine and ovine organic matter, transforming them into a quality fertilizer.

Despite the use of the most sophisticated technologies for disinfection and improved management of manure and slurry, emissions of harmful and malodorous gases, as well as health risks, persist. One probable reason for these issues likely lies in the high concentration of animals in confined spaces, creating an oxygen deficit due to the significant accumulation of animal excrement, thereby putting microbiology under considerable pressure.

This leads to disruptions in metabolic reactions that produce undesirable gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, etc. These gases are not only malodorous but also pose a health risk to humans and animals. They impact the environment and can significantly influence the overall productivity of the operation. In animals and humans, high concentrations of ammonia (NH3) in livestock can cause irritations of the pulmonary and ocular membranes and disrupt intestinal flora.

The Kopros® B range comprises microorganisms naturally present in soils, specially selected for bovine and ovine farming. Kopros® B triggers and accelerates the transformation processes of excrement from bovines and ovines.

How does Kopros® work?

The microorganisms applied directly to the bedding or pits stimulate the activity of the native microbiology, accelerating the processes of humification and nitrification (composting process) to drastically reduce emissions of ammonia and other harmful gases.

Is Kopros® suitable for all types of livestock?
